We all scream for ice cream
That's right, I scream, you scream - there's a whole lotta ice cream happening here!
The sweetest way to celebrate a 3rd birthday, is with this sweet frozen treat themed event.
With a few DIY projects and a battle with the elements, we managed to pull it off.
- Step right up for some ice cream. This cute ice cream stand was constructed out of 4 wooden crates as the base and made for the perfect kid-size display.
- Hand painted Ice cream toss game was just one of the many outdoor activities to keep the little ones busy. Other's activities included rainbow sensory bins, waffle pong (ice cream cones and ping pong balls), and flower pot painting and planting.
- The 7ft balloon backdrop was a tough contest against the wind but with some added reinforcements and an eventual move to a more sheltered location, it still added the perfect backdrop for the sundae bar.
- This party idea made an activity out of your treats with a build your own sundae bar with so many yummy toppings. I'm not sure if it was ice cream with toppings or toppings with a bit of ice cream but let's just say the kids had the best time creating their masterpiece. Many smiling faces!
There were plans for a lovely outdoor table setting but the strong winds meant for a change in plans. We were lucky to have been able to secure the rest of the decorations enough but I won't say that more than a few balloons may have ended up at the neighbours on our first attempt to setup.
Once we finally got he balloon garlands installed on the hoop and gate they weren't going anywhere.
Lastly these amazing custom cookies by Treats by Magda were the perfect take home favour to end the day.
